Remember when dialogue was actually intelligent, clever, and funny?
Remember Cary Grant in Arsenic and Old Lace?
Who’s Got the Jock? is a rollicking romp of a mystery featuring Psychiatrist turned Private Detective, Dr. Lawrence Pond. Set in Ney York City this doppelganger for a young Cary Grant does not like to work. He prefers to muse, workout, gaze out his windows overlooking Central Park, shop for designer clothing, and juggle [poorly] two unimaginably gorgeous lovers.
However his head is turned when a wad of hundred dollar bills the size of a grapefruit is offered as a retainer. Pond agrees to take the most challenging case of his career: the two-year-old disappearance of the National Football League’s number one draft choice on the eve before signing a multimillion dollar contract with The New York Jets. Despite a one million dollar reward for his whereabouts no trace of him has been located.
